"By 2020, burnout had caught up with me, leaving me exhausted, overwhelmed, and completely disconnected from myself. When I looked around, my co-workers were saying the same thing—“Ugh, me too.” In that moment, a question started to grow in my heart: where is the support for nurses?"

1. You can’t pour from an empty cup you don't ever reconnect with.
2. caring for yourself is patient care too.

Our Founder's Story

after graduating, i moved to california in 2018 looking for a fresh start and the chance to grow into the kind of nurse i had always imagined becoming, this time with a little better winter weather.

as it happened, the man sitting next to me on the plane ended up helping me land my first nursing job. that unexpected conversation became the opening chapter of my nursing career.

early on, i worked in psychiatric and addiction nursing, supporting patients navigating trauma, substance use, and complex mental health challenges. being so close to those stories changed the way i understood care. i witnessed how deeply emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing can be. my first workplace approached treatment through a holistic lens, and it shaped me profoundly. i began to see that nursing is not just clinical work. it is emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual work for both the patient and the nurse.

by 2020, i reached the wall that so many nurses quietly encounter. i was only a couple years into my career and already feeling the weight of burnout. i tried the things we are often told will help (i.e new routines, job changes, more self-care practices, & pushing through). but burnout does not disappear simply because we try harder to manage it. it asks to be acknowledged. it asks us to slow down and listen. that season became an invitation to begin supporting myself in a different way.

"My relationship with burnout began back in nursing school. I called it “senioritis” and laughed it off—but it was real. By the time I graduated in 2018, I was proud and determined, yet completely drained." - kelly dubowski msn, rn

in 2023, i founded my first holistic nurse coaching private practice, hope with kelly. through that work, nurturing the nurse naturally grew as a space dedicated to supporting nurses in restoring balance, reconnecting with themselves, and navigating the realities of the profession with greater support.

my mission is simple. nurses should not have to abandon themselves in order to care for others. i believe the people who hold so much for their patients deserve spaces where they can restore, reconnect, and feel supported too.

through my work, i am here to help create a different path in nursing. one where self sacrifice is no longer the standard, burnout is no longer normalized, and support is woven into the profession instead of treated like a "for later thing".
one where the caregiver is nurtured just as much as the care they give.

because nurses deserve to feel well alongside caring, not only after they have reached their limit.

my story begins growing up in the suburbs of massachusetts. for nursing school, i ventured just 45 minutes into the city of boston to begin my nursing training.

between 2021 and 2023, i returned to school and earned my master of science in nursing with a focus in holistic nurse coaching. during that time i immersed myself in the research around burnout, trauma, and holistic nursing, not only to support my own healing, but to better understand what nurses are truly carrying in today's world.

If you are ready to stop running on empty, to care for yourself with the same devotion you give to others, and to show up fully in your life again, you are in the right place. Because the truth is this: if you can show up for others, you can show up for yourself too.

clinical experience

"I absolutely adore the Nourish membership. I found Kelly’s work during a season where I was deeply overwhelmed and honestly in dire need of support. I had been carrying so much stress in my body for so long that I forgot what it felt like to truly slow down, breathe, and feel cared for myself.

Kelly creates such a safe and calming space through her teachings, guided practices, reflections, and live sessions. You can genuinely feel how much care and intention she pours into this community. The support inside Nourish has helped me feel less alone, more connected to myself, and more aware of what my nervous system has actually been needing."

"Kelly helped me find time to reconnect with myself. She showed me that rest is practice & ways to explore more of it in my busy life. I discovered insights into pacing myself creating boundaries and giving myself permission to recharge in ways I never thought possible. Working with her has reminded me that self care is not selfish it is essential and it can actually make me a better nurse and a more centered person."

"I'm a Registered nurse specializing in holistic nutrition and women's hormones. I coach clients in both private 1:1 sessions as well as group programs. Kelly and I have worked together on a few occasions where she has hosted a call for my clients. I cannot recommend Kelly enough. She is professional, calming, educational, well spoken and very passionate about what she does and who she serves.

After every call Kelly has hosted for my team, I am flooded with messages about how much the call not only touched them, but helped provide a safe, secure, and relaxing space that they needed."

"I recently had the chance to attend a self-care workshop with Kelly and I am beyond impressed. From the moment the session began, her lighthearted and gentle energy created a space where I felt safe, seen, and truly understood. As a nurse navigating burnout, it’s easy to feel isolated or overwhelmed, but Kelly’s guidance reminded me that I am not alone.  I walked away feeling lighter, more centered, and inspired to care for myself in a more compassionate way."
